Located in North Lake Tahoe, Resort at Squaw Creek is offering immersive, snowy activities for groups during the 2021/2022 ski season, including everything from sled regattas to snowshoe races. Here’s a closer look at some of the options.
- Wacky Winter Games – Groups separate into teams of six to 10 people and compete in challenges, including snowman building competitions, snowshoe relay races, snow softball, igloo building competitions, and more.
- Sled Regatta – Teams must build a sled using materials such as cardboard and duct tape. Once completed, a designated team member races it down the resort’s sled hill.
- Ice Rink Activities – Resort at Squaw Creek’s ice rink makes it easy for groups to take part in a broomball tournament book private skate sessions.
- Hit the Trails – Head out on three miles of groomed meadow trails on a guided cross-country skiing or snowshoeing tour before holding races complete with prizes once everyone has got the hang of it.
In addition to the winter team-building experiences, Resort at Squaw Creek offers ski-in/ski-out access to Palisades Tahoe, a ski resort with 24 lifts and 6,000 skiable acres.
Resort at Squaw Creek has 405 guest rooms and suites and 33,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including the 9,225-square-foot Grand Sierra Ballroom and the 5,120-square-foot Alpine Ballroom and breakout rooms named after local ski peaks and trails. There’s also 14,700 square feet of outdoor meeting space such as the spacious Plaza Deck.
