Customized Kayaking & Hiking Trips for Corporate Groups in Nevada

By M+E Staff

The latest addition is the availability of Spanish-speaking guides.

Based in Boulder City, Nevada, Evolution Expeditions has been running kayak tours since 2006. Today, the outfitter offers fully customizable tours that can include hiking for groups of up to 60 guests, whether it’s a half-day break from meetings or a full day expedition.

With ample sightseeing opportunities along the lower Colorado River, group kayaking tour itineraries can be planned to include a variety of stops including Hoover Dam, Emerald Cave, Sauna Cave, geothermal hot springs, waterfalls, private beaches and coves. Treks traverse through narrow slot canyons on the Arizona Hot Spring and Goldstrike Hot Spring hikes.

As an added bonus, Evolution Expeditions recently announced that Spanish-language tours are now available. “We are thrilled to offer Spanish speakers the opportunity to learn about the incredible Black Canyon and Colorado River with our new tours,” says Chris Cherney, owner. “We have two incredible Spanish-speaking guides on our staff that give in-depth commentary and insight about this stunning geological area for guests taking our tours.”

All three Evolution Expeditions tours are available in Spanish.

Kayak Hoover Dam and Hot Springs Hike – This excursion includes seven hours of paddling, hiking and soaking in the beauty of the Black Canyon. Participants paddle from the base of the Hoover Dam and down the Colorado River to view waterfalls, learn about local wildlife, kayak in the Emerald Cave and soak in geothermal hot spring pools.

Kayak Emerald Cave – With views of primitive volcanic canyon walls and lunch on a remote beach, this tour involves approximately four hours of adventure along the Colorado River. Guests paddle at the opening of Black Canyon, see the green water of Emerald Cave, hike up a hill to enjoy views of the canyon and swim at a remote beach, all while learning about the wildlife on both Nevada’s and Arizona’s shorelines.

Kayak Emerald Cave Express – Slightly shorter at three hours, this tour starts at Willow Beach. Participants venture into the Black Canyon, paddle past landmarks from the 1920-era Hoover Dam project and experience the glowing green water inside Emerald Cave.

Tour length determines whether lunch, snacks or both are included. For groups, customized food and beverage packages can be arranged and can include s’mores around a bonfire. In addition, Evolution Expeditions offers round-trip shuttle service for groups meeting in Las Vegas and other locations within southern Nevada.
