Vail Resorts, Inc. is implementing one of the most ambitious capital plans in the history of the U.S. ski industry to connect and improve Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort. The $50 million capital plan will create the largest single ski area in the United States with in excess of 7,300 acres of skiable terrain and upgraded infrastructure of both resorts. Examples of plans underway are the new Interconnect Gondola running from the base of the existing Silverlode Lift at Park City to the Flatiron Lift at Canyons. Culinary improvements include the new Snow Hut Restaurant that seats 500 indoors at the base of the Silverlode Lift, upgrades to Summit House Restaurant at Park City and expansion of Red Pine Lodge Restaurant at Canyons.

Vail Resorts also now is managing the Hotel Park City – The Yarrow, which recently underwent a major remodel and is being rebranded as a DoubleTree by Hilton. Upgrades included 182 renovated guest rooms and public areas, a larger fitness center with upgraded equipment, a larger and redesigned bar, and a new coffee shop and game room. The Yarrow’s 12,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom space also was part of the improvement project.
