The Oklahoma City Council has approved the preliminary report for the new $288 million downtown Oklahoma City Convention Center. Oklahoma City and Populous have been working together since 2010 to build a new convention center through the Metropolitan Area Projects 3, which is a 1-cent, self-funded sales tax initiative that was passed in 2009 by Oklahoma City voters.
The International Live Events Association is partnering with ibtm events as part of Reed Travel Exhibitions.
ibtm is now a part of the exclusive group of organizations within ILEA’s Global Partners program. Including Giants Enterpries, CORT and VisitScotland Business Events. ibtm will be exposed to ILEA’s 5,000 international members.
This collaboration will allow ILEA to continue its global expansion and offers up a portfolio of events such as the annual tradeshow in Barcelona.

AEG and PRISA Group have partnered with AEG Facilities to develop, manage and operate a new 6,000-seat concert and entertainment venue in San Jose, Puerto Rico; it is set to open in early 2019.
The 105,000-square foot facility will have the capacity to host a variety of functions, including events, concerts, banquets, festivals, award ceremonies and corporate events.
