Situated on 10 secluded acres along Waller Creek in Austin, the historic Commodore Perry Estate is set to open later this year. The resort-style hotel is in the heart of the city and offers an ultra-luxury experience brimming with style and charm. A new garden-inspired culinary concept, Lutie’s, will serve lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Built during the Jazz Age in 1928, Commodore Perry Estate was originally the country home of Commodore Edgar and Lutie Perry. Today, it’s on the National Register of Historic Places. Set in the neighborhood of Hancock Park, it includes five suites in the original mansion and 42 rooms and seven suites in a newly built three-story inn. The property also features a chapel and gardens enclosed within a walled compound in the style of a historic country estate.
The resort showcases designer touches by creative director Ken Fulk. Fulk has brought together a mix of custom and heirloom vintage pieces, creating an atmosphere that feels collected over time.
“When I first saw Commodore Perry Estate, I was simply mesmerized.
