Northeast Florida’s largest convention hotel, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, recently announced the completion of its major, multi-million dollar renovation. The renovation featured a total overhaul of all guest rooms, corridors, fitness center, and Regency Club lounge.
The redesigned Regency Club lounge has improved networking areas, workstations overlooking the city skyline, and an additional room for small meetings and gatherings.
“With the national and local economy continuing to improve and the ongoing revitalization of downtown Jacksonville, we have seen steady growth in meetings and room-night bookings in recent years, and the future looks even stronger,” said Gino Caliendo, general manager for Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. “It was the perfect time to make this transition for our property within such an expanding market, and strengthen our position as the largest convention hotel between Atlanta and Orlando.”
The property has also added six hard-walled meeting rooms, located on the fourth level of the hotel’s Terrace Building. In addition, the renovation included a complete redesign of its rooftop fitness center. New fitness equipment has been strategically positioned to take full advantage of the city and river views.
The guest room redesign was inspired by the natural beauty of the majestic St. Johns River. Soft hues and natural tones in shades of blue, green, gray and taupe create a tranquil relaxed space.
In order to tailor the property towards large groups and meetings, it has added a host off offerings designed toward mind and body wellness while reinforcing the benefits of the Northeast Florida destination. Upgraded culinary options, fun runs along the St. Johns River and instructor-led yoga classes on the rive decks are now offered in addition to a number of other opportunities.
