More than a dozen travel-related association sponsors are helping make the International Travel Show 2023 (ITS2023) a reality on Oct. 26-28 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The International Travel Show is placing a new emphasis on meeting and event planners, and PCMA and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) are among the sponsors.

Each day of the industry event will feature conference sessions, an exhibition hall, and events dedicated to a specific audience. For example, Oct. 26 is devoted to meeting and event planners, Oct. 27 is created for travel and tourism professionals, and Oct. 28 is programmed for consumers who can visit hundreds of travel exhibitor booths and attend presentations to gather travel-planning information.

As part of the International Travel Show placing a new emphasis on meeting and event planners, conference sessions for Oct. 26 have been developed by PCMA, IAEE, and Destinations International with additional support from Meeting Professionals International chapters in a tri-state area. Topics will focus on emerging issues, new solutions, and the latest meeting and event trends. In addition, exhibitors and planners will have time to network and discuss business opportunities.

“The International Travel Show provides a platform for business event strategists who are continually seeking new and innovative experiences for a variety of audiences. We look forward to collaborating on this enhancement to ITS2023,” says PCMA President and CEO Sherrif Karamat, CAE.

In comparison, seminars for consumers are presented by travel experts and popular personalities to provide a snapshot of firsthand experiences, travel planning advice, and ideas for new travel hot spots and the best ways to travel.

In addition to featuring booths, the exhibition hall will have product demonstrations, food tastings, speaker presentations, and live performances. Also, Innovation Areas will offer insights into the future of travel, and the Cultural Pavilion will feature cultural wonders from around the world.
