Beginning summer 2024, Alaska Airlines will be offering seasonal nonstop routes from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska, to San Diego International Airport in California and John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York. The San Diego route will be available on May 18, 2024, and the JFK route will be available June 13, 2024.

“We’re eager to welcome guests to our great state from the city that never sleeps to the land of the midnight sun on Alaska’s new nonstop flight,” says Jillian Simpson, president and CEO of the Alaska Travel Industry Association, in a prepared statement. The Alaska-New York route will be the only nonstop service between JFK and Anchorage. “Summer is an incredible time to visit Alaska with our warm, long days. There’s so much to do in Anchorage and in the smaller towns nearby [that] mapping out your itinerary might be the toughest thing you do before heading west.”

With these new routes, Alaska Airlines will be serving 14 nonstop destinations to and from the hub in Anchorage during the summer months. By mid-June 2024, these will include Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Honolulu, Hawaii; Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York City, New York; Phoenix, Arizona; Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Seattle and Everett, Washington.
