Based in Tysons, Virginia, Cvent is a technology provider for the meetings, events, and hospitality industries. On Jan. 12, it announced its acquisition of technology companies Jifflenow and iCapture. Jifflenow offers business-to-business (B2B) meeting scheduling capabilities, and iCapture is an award-winning lead capture platform.
“Over the past nearly 25 years, we have helped power global meetings and events programs, and these acquisitions highlight our continued commitment to innovation and delivering the best-in-class solutions our customers need to drive their businesses forward,” says Reggie Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Cvent, in a prepared statement.
The acquisition of these two companies aims to expand Cvent’s event marketing and management platform to offer more robust solutions to help organizations and business do three things:
- Maximize trade show impact by facilitating meetings with the highest-value customers and prospects
- Increase the number of event leads
- Better qualify and convert trade show leads
Maximizing trade show impact refers to the use of Jifflenow to ensure business executives and sales teams maximize their time at trade shows and other similar events by meeting with the most important customers and prospects. It will help to organize, manage, and track these appointments and exchanges to boost connections and further actionize post-event follow-ups.
Increasing leads refers to Cvent using iCapture to provide consistent, customizable, and easy-to-use universal lead capture solutions to boost an organization’s awareness and lead generation strategy. And item No. 3 refers to iCapture’s ability to better facilitate “more intelligent and efficient lead capture on-site,” alongside Jifflenow’s ability to simplify the scheduling process for organizing qualified meetings to then convert those connections into business opportunities.
“The Jifflenow team is excited to continue its mission to transform meeting automation as an integral part of Cvent, a clear leader that continues to transform the meetings and events industry,” says Hari Shetty, founder and CEO of Jifflenow, in a prepared statement. iCapture’s president and co-founder Brady Roberts adds, “Trade shows and conferences offer some of the highest-quality engagements sales teams will encounter, and iCapture was founded nearly 12 years ago with a single goal in mind: helping organizations capture those engagements and turn them into revenue-generating opportunities.”
