FCM Meetings & Events, a flagship division of Australia-based Flight Centre Travel Group, announced a strategic reorganization of its Americas operations and leadership team on April 11. The changes are set with the goal of streamlining efficiency for business across the U.S. and Canada.
Among the role changes is the appointment of Gabriella Antoniotti as head of operations. Antoniotti is based in New York City, New York, and will supervise all operations of the meetings and events business throughout the U.S., as well as oversee the company’s event travel, sourcing and managed meetings, and event management departments. This is her 10th year with FCM Meetings & Events, she most recently served as director of business improvements, and previously served in an array of other positions at the company while based in Australia.
“Gabriella has proved to be a highly effective, successful operations leader and I am thrilled for the opportunity to appoint her into this new role,” says Billy McDonough, FCM president of the Americas division, in a prepared statement. “Gabriella’s leadership, operational expertise, and deep understanding of the meetings and events space will be integral to our continued success and future growth plans in the U.S. and Canada.”
Additional structural changes to the Americas team include the promotion of Steph Garcia to team leader for the event travel division. Jessica Cortese will continue her role as team leader for the sourcing & managed meetings team; and Madison McCann and Emma Eves in the U.S., along with Sophia Marsh in Canada, will continue their roles as team leaders across the event management branch.
In addition to its meetings and events management services, FCM also offers corporate travel management, consulting, and industry-specific specialist services.
