By Megan Gosch

Already an iconic property in Chicago’s bustling commercial district, the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile is now offering guests a new way to see the city this summer.

InterContinental guests can easily enjoy the shopping, upscale restaurants and city attractions that surround the property or hotel amenities like the InterContinental’s junior Olympic-size indoor pool, but the with the introduction of its new Summer Scavenger Hunt Package, the InterContinental team’s created a fun and stress-free challenge to get guests out and exploring 30 of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks.

“Traveling to Chicago during warm, summer months is exciting, but it can be overwhelming,” says Pete Demay, general manager of InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile Hotel. “With so much to do and see, it can be tough for our guests to decide which attractions are really worth experiencing. The Summer Scavenger Hunt package truly was created to take the headache out of planning your summer vacation. It’s everything you need to explore Chicago like a local.”

The family-friendly package, available now through the end of September, includes overnight accommodations, a complimentary breakfast for two children, an in-room milk and cookie treat, an adventure backpack (complete with a Lincoln the Lion plush lion teddy, coloring book, coloring pencils and travel journal), and a Chicago scratch-off scavenger hunt kit with dozens of destinations to explore. The hunt leads visitors on a self-guided sightseeing walking tour to site like The Chicago Theatre, The Rookery, the John Hancock Center and Millennium Park where guests can scratch off the icon on their map to reveal a fun fact, highlight or activity.

“With the help of Lincoln the Lion and his expertise of local destinations, guests will be able to get a taste of the city we are proud to call home. We aim to create memorable experiences for each of our guests and look forward to being part of many families’ memories for years to come,” Demay says.
