Business Travel News (BTN), a media source for the business travel and meetings market, named Southwest Airlines in its 2023 Airlines Survey for top-rated customer satisfaction from corporate travel managers and corporate travel agents. The survey asked customers to rate carriers on scales of one to five across several criteria and discuss their experiences with the airlines in the past year.
“Southwest Business is committed to providing our customers not only with great value, but also a team of trusted advisors that travel decision-makers can rely on,” says Dave Harvey, vice president and chief sales officer at Southwest, in a prepared statement. “We [have] been hard at work reducing friction this year with tools like Southwest Business Assist and our Southwest Business Meetings product, as well on our ongoing work to deliver a travel experience that algins with our brand and meets the evolving expectations of customers.”
From Sept. 25 to Oct. 18 of this year, BTN collected responses from 647 corporate travel buyers and corporate travel agents across a range of 11 criteria including customer service, products and services, network, and more. The airline ranked second overall in the survey and is the only carrier on the survey to receive an increased total score two years in a row. Of the survey criteria listed, customers ranked Southwest first in the value of relationship with account managers and overall price value categories. The carrier also saw improvement year over year in both the distribution channels and quality of data and reporting tool categories.
Harvey adds, “We’re proud of our travel managers, the entire Southwest Business team, and all our employees who consistently deliver a great experience and legendary hospitality.”
