Gettysburg Brass Band Festival
Brass bands from across the Mid-Atlantic come together in Gettysburg for three days of musical fun for Gettysburg’s Brass Band Festival. Throughout the weekend at various locations in town, the brass bands perform their best tunes for all to enjoy. Take in the music for an hour, a day or even the entire weekend. And don’t miss the Brass Band Petting Zoo where children and adults can take their turn at trying out different brass instruments. The Gettysburg Brass Band Festival is from June 7-9 at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.
Adams County Irish Festival
Whether you are of Irish decent, or just love Irish culture, check out the Adams County Irish Festival. From music and dancing, to food and drink and gifts and merchandise, celebrate Adams County’s Irish heritage at this fun family event. The Adams County Irish Festival is on June 21.
Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival
The Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival is a truly one-of-a-kind event that can be enjoyed by those who love baseball, history or who are just looking for something fun and different to do. Vintage baseball clubs from around the county will gather in Gettysburg to compete in a different kind of baseball tournament. The game will be played just as it was in 1863 – following the rules and wearing the uniforms from the 19th century. The Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival is from July 21-22 at the Schroeder Farm, just outside of Gettysburg.
PA Cider Fest
Immerse yourself in Adams County’s booming hard cider industry at the second PA Cider Fest. Join more than 20 cider makers and hundreds of fellow cider enthusiasts for a day dedicated to Pennsylvania-produced hard cider. Enjoy cider tastings and workshops, live music, an artisan market and food vendors. Take in the breathtaking views at the venue – Hauser Estate Winery – home to one of Adams County’s very own ciders, Jack’s Hard Cider. The PA Cider Fest is on June 23.
Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival
The Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival is a lively, four-day music festival held at Gettysburg’s Granite Hill Camping Resort. Bluegrass bands take the stage and produce fun, toe-tapping tunes all weekend long. Guests can also enjoy bluegrass workshops and food and craft vendors. Don’t miss a thing – make it a long weekend and camp at the resort, or another one of Gettysburg’s campgrounds during the festival. The Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival is from Aug. 16-19.
