13th Annual Chef’s United Dinner Goes Off Without a Hitch

On Oct. 29, the 13th Annual Chefs United Dinner took place at the Inn at Woodloch in Hawley, Pa.

“We were thrilled that Woodloch was once again our signature sponsor for our Annual Chefs United Benefit Dinner. Woodloch has always been a huge supporter of the United Way and the community at large. We are very grateful to the Kiesendahl family for hosting this event at their beautiful Woodloch Pines Resort,” says Matt Osterber UWPC president. “I also extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the 180 attendees, chefs and restaurants that participated in this very special fundraiser. This year we raised a little over $12,000 which will help our local human services agencies.”

The event consisted of a cocktail hour followed by a dinner; it raised money for the United Way of Pike County through a silent auction.

Special recognition goes to Penney Luhrs, who was celebrated by United Way for helping raise more than $12,000 through selling 20-plus tickets for the dinner and putting together the silent auction.

“The best thing about the Chefs United Benefit Dinner is that everyone here tonight is supporting the United Way of Pike County and that this evening we will be raising money for our local human service agencies,” says Patrick Kiesendahl, Woodloch social director and owner. “These agencies in-turn help our friends and neighbors in need. With the current economic situation, many residents need our help now more than ever. I’m proud with the turnout and the amount of money that the United Way of Pike County raised at this event and look forward to hosting this event next year.”
