The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC), professionally managed by AEG Facilities, recently announced the promotions of Ellen Schwartz, Estella Flores, and Sandra lady.
“I’ve long been a proponent of the ‘who’ before the ‘what’ when it comes to organizational success, and the promotion of these three outstanding women demonstrates our commitment as a company to not only hire the best talent but to also promote from within,” concluded Brad Gessner, SVP of AEG Facilities and General Manager of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Schwartz, VP of Sales & Marketing has been promoted to Assistant General Manager effective Friday, July 1. Schwartz joined the AEG Facilities team during the LACC’s initial transition from public, City management and has played an integral role in the LACC’s continued success under AEG Facilities. In her new role, she will continue to oversee the Sales & Marketing Department as well as the Event Services, Taste of LA by Levy Restaurants, Encore, and Smart City departments.
Flores, Facilities Manager has been promoted to Director of Facilities effective Friday, July 1. Flores has held various positions in her twelve years at the LACC and joined the AEG Facilities team during the transition. She possesses extensive knowledge of building operations and has led the LACC’s sustainability initiatives and LEED: EB+OM Gold recertification (2015). In her new role, she will continue the expansion of the LACC’s environmental sustainability initiatives as well as oversee the set-up and cleaning departments.
Lady, Senior Sales Manager has been promoted to Director of Sales effective Friday, July 1. Lady joined the team over two years ago and has been instrumental in attracting new business as well as retaining existing clients. Her strategic yet personable approach has been essential to driving occupancy and revenue at the LACC. In her new role, she will lead the Sales department.
