Healthcare event management specialist, Ashfield Meetings & Events, has appointed Laura Brown to their board of directors. Brown will be the new senior vice president of operations, effective Oct. 1.

Laura has been working closely with the management team to develop our U.S. business to a market leading position and prepare us for the next stage of our predicted growth,” says Nicola Burns, global managing director. “With her full-service background and creative and production knowledge we have already seen a growing frequency of the agency’s U.S. client base to utilize our engagement services.”
Brown has been with the agency for the past 15 years and has held multiple positions including operational, training and business development roles. Additionally, she has worked with a range of clients in her tenure.
“With a number of new staff appointments over the past year and numerous new business wins I am thrilled to take on the responsibility of senior vice president of operations at such an exciting time,” says Brown. “I am looking forward to this continuing and working alongside the rest of the board to ensure we deliver against the strategic and operational plans for the global business.”
Brown will join the rest of the board of directors once her appointment is effective next month. The current board consists of global managing director Nicola Burns, CEO Americas Gavin Houston, director of group business services Penny Callaghan and engagement director Jo Brook.
