During the recent Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) annual Industry Advisory Council conference participants were given a unique opportunity to support the Navy and families of those who serve.
The conference was held at Hotel del Coronado in Coronado (San Diego), Calif. During the conference, IAC attendees – which consisted of meeting professionals, incentive/ recognition specialists, association executives, and hoteliers – participated in the ALHI IAC Walk for a Cause. Participating attendees were given pedometers which they were to wear throughout the conference.
On the last day of the conference ALHI collected the total steps from each participant. The group walked a total of 2,689 miles. Thus, ALHI donated $2,689 to the Navy SEAL Foundation. This foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families. The Foundation was specially selected as the recipient because the Navy SEAL Training Base is located just down the beach from Hotel del Coronado.
