CadmiumCD: A Deeper Dive into the Winter 2017 Infographic

By Morgan Halaska

In our Winter 2017 issues, we’re featuring the tech companies that were part of the 2016 ibtm America TechCollective in partnership with DAHLIA+. Because we can only fit so much in print, we decided to post an extended interview with Michael Doane, marketing manager, CadmiumCD.

What are some of CadmiumCD’s outstanding features for meeting/event planners?

CadmiumCD was founded in 2000 by husband-wife team Peter and Michelle Wyatt. They were conference attendees bringing home big binders of content (aka Conference Proceedings) and thought there must be a better way to distribute abstracts, presentation slides and speaker bios. They began collecting the data for meeting planners and compiling it digitally on CD. Flash forward to today and CadmiumCD now offers a software platform that allows meeting planners to collect and review submissions, manage speakers and exhibitors, organize conference details and distribute content to attendees via apps and websites.

Do you have any numbers/figures/percentages you can share related to the technology that would interest planners?

CadmiumCD’s eventScribe app is great for both attendee networking and educational activities at conferences. It is also consistently rated an average of four to five stars by attendees in the app store. Highlights [of two recent client meetings] include 18,437 personal meetings created among 10,938 users at NAFSA, and 2.4 million slide downloads with more than 25,000 notes taken among 1,931 mobile users at APIC. We also find that most users download and install the app on one-and-a-half to three devices per person on average.
