The Convention Industry Council was fully prepared for the 2016 Hall of Leaders and Pacesetter Awards Celebration. The ceremony, which was held on Oct. 18 at Jewel Nightclub in the Aria Resort & Casino, celebrates the 21st class of the industry’s newest inductees.
The event—sponsored by MGM Resorts Events Productions, MGM Resorts International, the IMEX Group and other industry partners—was hosted by Glenn Thayer. Entertainment included cellist duo, Mert Sermet and Jerry Pence and twin tap dancers Sean and John Scott. The Scott twins have previously worked with stars such as Beyonce, Prince, Stevie Wonder and others.

The inductees for the Hall of Leaders include: Richard Aaron, MFA, CSEP Emeritus; Patrick Delaney, CMM, CITE, DMCP; Carol Krugman, CMP, CMM, M.Ed; John Patronski; and Colleen Rickenbacher, CMP, CSEP, CPC, CTA, CPECP. The Pacesetter Award Winners were Aoife Delaney and Mariela McIlwraith, CMP, CMM, MBA.
