Conrad Fort Lauderale Beach to Open in September

By M+E Staff

Coming this September, the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach will open its doors to the public on Fort Lauderdale’s North Beach. The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach will be the newest addition to the Conrad Hotels & Resorts portfolio, being the second Conrad property in Florida, with 290 suites.

The hotel was designed by the late Michael Graves, who was known for his iconic postmodern architecture. Graves drew inspiration from Fort Lauderdale’s reputation as the yachting capital of the world, specifically by the golden area of high-end cruise lines, and conveyed this in the space by incorporating nautical décor, balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean or Intracoastal Waterways, 50″ HDTVs, and galley kitchens.

“As Fort Lauderdale Beach heats up, we recognize that this city is evolving with a new focus on opulence, style and sophistication. The resort is at the helm of this movement and our guarantee to locals and travelers is that we will bring an unparalleled ambiance for guests to stay inspired,” said Chintan Dadhich, General Manager, Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. “By honoring and embracing the community, our vision is to provide intuitive service and tailored luxury by collaborating with locals to create programs and offerings that pay tribute to South Florida’s yacht and beach culture.”

Some of the amenities that the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach will offer to guests are Fort Lauderdale’s only 20,000 square foot oceanfront pool deck, a heated freshwater pool, whirlpools, cabanas, around the clock concierge service, and their 4,000 square foot Conrad Spa, which includes men’s and women’s steam rooms and a couple’s massage room. Other amenities include signature Conrad 1/3/5 destination itineraries, a fitness center, art, fire pits, a library, and event spaces available.

For meetings and events, the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Bech offers 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, as well as 10,000 square feet of oceanfront outdoor space. The hotel can host events that have up to 500 guests. These spaces include the outdoor Ocean Terrace, ten meeting meetings rooms and event spaces, a private conference facility entrance, a meeting concierge, the 4,525 square feet Ocean Ballroom, and state of the art technology.

Some of the Conrad Fort Lauderdale’s food and beverage offerings include four dining and bar experiences, including the lobby bar, the pool bar, Terra Mare and Cornucopia. Terra Mare is the property’s signature restaurant, offering casually sophisticated shared plate dining with an epicurean experience. The ingredients will be fresh and locally sourced, and some tableside preparation will be available as well. Cornucopia will be the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach’s gourmet marketplace, where guests can choose from pastries, flatbreads, and organic juices. The bars will offer artisanal craft cocktails as well.

“While Conrad boasts a portfolio of 32 luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach will be the first beachfront resort and residence for the brand in the region,” said John T.A. Vanderslice, global head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts. “As one of the world’s fastest growing and most innovative luxury brands, Conrad hotels create unique experiences for our guests in the most sought-after destinations, and we look forward to bringing this smart luxury retreat to South Florida.”

Since the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is part of Hilton, guests can participate in Hilton Honors. Honors members allow guests to earn Points & Miles on the same stay, Best Price Guarantees, free Wi-Fi, digital check-in, No Blackout Dates on rewards stays, and no booking fees when booking directly though Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
