Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa recently named Douglas Libby as its new general manager. In addition to Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Libby will also oversee operations for Winter Park, Colo. sister properties and restaurants, Vasquez Creek Inn, Trailhead Inn, Volario’s and Caffé Giocondo.
Libby brings more than 30 years’ hotel and resort experience to the three Winter Park area properties, including a proven track record for improving operational capabilities, enhancing guest and employee satisfaction, driving revenue, improving market share and developing marketing channels for independent brands as well as some of the most recognized hotel management companies in the world including Marriott, Starwood, Hilton and DoubleTree hotels.
Prior to coming to Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Libby served as general manager at Eldorado Hotel & Spa in Santa Fe, N.M. Libby was raised in Boulder, Colo. is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communications, with an emphasis on advertising and public relations. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time with his family.
