Fairmont Pittsburgh has partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation for the upcoming holiday season. Together, they have planned a number of initiatives to benefit the Free Care Fund, a program the guarantees that every child in the region receives the health care they need despite their family’s lack of insurance.
“We are always fortunate to have community partners like Fairmont Pittsburgh who fundraise on behalf of the Free Care Fund and continue to go above and beyond each year,” says Greg Barrett, president, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. “Because of their generosity and support, this holiday season will be brighter for our patients and families.”
Fairmont Pittsburgh will host its first event of the holiday season on Nov. 17. The event, a Holiday Happy Hour, asks guests to bring a new unwrapped toy or gift card that will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. It is free and open to the public; hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served. DJ Malls will play festive music for the occasion.
Another way guests can support the cause is by booking the Trees of Hope Package. The overnight package will be available between Oct. 1 and Jan. 31. It includes 15 percent off the daily room rate and a $10 donation per night to the Free Care Fund. The package starts at $212 per night.
