GRAND HYATT NEW YORK NAMES NEW HOTEL MANAGER

Ash Awasthi has been appointed hotel manager of the Grand Hyatt New York. Awasthi will supervise the rooms division and support activities throughout the property including purpose and brand activation, special projects, strategic planning and financial performance.

 “We are very fortune to have an individual of Ash’s caliber and success join the team at Grand Hyatt New York,” said Area Vice President & General Manager John Schafer. “His creative leadership, valuable experience and innovative ideas will continue to develop and strengthen our commitment to authentic hospitality. Awasthi began his career in the hospitality industry as a front office agent for Choice Hotels in midtown Manhattan. Awasthi began working for Hyatt at Hyatt Regency New Brunswick as an assistant front office manager. He has held various positions and promotions throughout the years in the Rooms Division at several other Hyatt locations including: Houston, Atlanta, Princeton and Tampa. Awasthi most recently served as director of rooms at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
