The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau and a member of its staff have been honored with three awards. One award was from the Michigan Society of Association Executives and two were from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.
The awards were announced last month at the MSAE Association Choice Awards, which were held at the East Lansing Marriott. The GLCVB was awarded ‘Best Large CVB’ by the association’s 1,000 members.
“It’s always an honor to win an award,” says Jack Schripsema, GLCVB president and CEO. “But it’s particularly satisfying to win an award that is voted on by our many valued association clients across the state.”
The GLCVB was also honored by the Arts Council of Greater Lansing with the 2016 Business Leadership Award, which recognizes the GLCVB’s overwhelming support for the Art Council.
Additionally, Julie Pingston, CMP, CTA, senior vice president and chief operating officer at the GLCVB was awarded the 2016 Ted Sondag Individual Leadership Award for her part in the leadership of the GLCVB.
“We at the Greater Lansing CVB are extremely proud of our footprint in the community,” says Schripsema. “And certainly the work and dedication of Julie Pingston is a key asset and a point of pride for our organization.”
