The Hotel Jerome and the Aspen Times Building in Colorado are in the process of expansion.
Designed by Rowland+Broughton, the renovation will expand the capacity of the hotel (which was built in 1889 and is a National Register Historic Place) by adding eight rooms and an addition next to the Aspen Times Building. The maximum unit size is 1,864 square feet per floor.
The new design will respect the history of the building and its surroundings. Additional amenities will include an improved courtyard between the two buildings, a pool deck and a patio. Construction begins in April 2017 and will be completed by December 2017.
