Hotel Chaco to Open its Doors

By M+E Staff

Hotel Chaco, a modern luxury hotel inspired by the ancient civilization of Chaco Canyon, is set to open in Old Town Albuquerque in April, 2017. The property, which was designed by Heritage Hotels & Resorts, broke ground in August 2016 and the exterior is slated for completion this month.

Hotel Chaco will be located next to its sister property, Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town; two hotels will share a pool, ballrooms and wedding chapel. Chef Mark Miller will create the concept for the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Level 5. Interior designer Kris Lajeskie has commissioned contemporary Native American artists to create works for the hotel.

“We’re creating a hotel where guests will experience the true culture of New Mexico in a way that has never been done before,” says Jim Long, CEO, Heritage Hotels & Resorts. “We are blending ancient building techniques from New Mexico Native Americans with modern amenities and designs from the best designers in the world to create a new hotel that will redefine and advance the architectural building style in our state. “
