Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino Wraps Up Second Phase of Multimillion-Dollar Renovation

By Kassidy Tarala

Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino is completing the second phase of its multimillion-dollar renovation, resulting in new guest rooms, an adults-only pool and private outdoor event space.

The 359 modern guest rooms, which offer a feeling of tranquility, feature hand-woven, chevron wool rugs and custom-made drapery that mimic the ocean’s waves and include an ombre blue patten to reflect the turqoise waters. The new rooms also include STAYCAST/Google Chrome in the 65-inch televisions, which include Netflix and other streaming services. There are also digital clocks in the bathroom mirrors and motion lights on the bed, making the rooms thoughtfully designed to conjure the feeling of being in a beach home.

The new adults-only pool, Trankilo, will give travelers an additional option to enjoy the pool as well as a feeling of tranquility in the middle of a very exciting destination. Trankilo will feature 10 private pool cabanas, each with a dedicated entrance and stairway into the sleek, tension edge pool. Guests can also unwind with a couples spa treatment in the cabana.

The resort’s casino and spa are for guests 18 and older, so travelers are able to have a well-rounded adults-only experience while staying at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino. For the younger guests, kids age 4-12 can let off some energy at the Camp Hyatt Watapana, which offers a variety of supervised activities, including arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, tennis, sandcastle building, water balloon relays and lessons in Papiamento, the creole language spoken in Aruba.

The new outdoor space is surrounding the new adults-only pool, making it an easily accessible focal point of any event. The space can accommodate 250 guests for a banquet or 500 for a reception. Additionally, the events lawn is 2,488 square feet and can hold 120 for a banquet or 200 for a reception. The new lawn space and wooden deck that will open after the renovation is complete will be ideal for any intimate type of event including social gatherings, weddings and corporate events. The resort boasts some of Aruba’s most scenic full-service event spaces and wedding venues including ballrooms, poolside decks and beachfront venues with comprehensive catering and planning by Hyatt.

The AAA Four-Diamond resort, centrally located on 12 acres of magnificent beachfront property on Aruba’s world-renowned Palm Beach, stands out for its convenient location in the heart of Aruba and proximity to numerous lounges, bars, restaurants and mall, making it a fun retreat for groups both on- and off-property.
