Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa Adds Lazy River with Water Slides

By M+E Staff

AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, located in Bonita Springs, Fla., not only boasts 85,000 square feet of event space, but they also just added an outdoor event and venue: The Lazy River with water slides. Providing guests with a leisurely outdoor activity, the Lazy River and water slides allow attendees to get some sun and relax, and is especially well-suited for those traveling with their families.

This recent update debuted November 2016 following a $4.1 million renovation to the resort’s indoor meeting space in early 2016. These renovations included a modernized design and a variety of high-tech capabilities such as computer-controlled LED light, cove lighting, wall sconces and efficient chandeliers. The entrance foyer now includes charging stations and TVs within two private technology nooks, each built with bamboo and American walnut flooring. “The addition of The Lazy River is an added bonus to the array of event and leisure venues we offer that are immersed in nature,” says David Gauthier, director of sales and marketing. “Approximately half of our business comes from meetings and incentives, so we wanted to add another element to their experience. Additionally, our indoor venues feature bright and airy spaces with favorable features that have earned us significant awards.”
