Kimpton Monaco Hotel Denver Appointed New Assistant General Manager

Kimpton Monaco Hotel Denver, Downtown Denver’s most unique and sophisticated hotel, announced today the appointment of Jen Ramirez as Assistant General Manager. Having begun her career with the hotel in 2002 as a hostess in it’s award-winning Panzano Restaurant, Ramirez has risen through the ranks over the past 14 years. Her new appointment is indicative of Kimpton Hotels’ corporate culture and strong dedication to nurturing employees as they grow their careers.

“It is with much excitement that we bring Jen into the position of Assistant General Manager of Kimpton Monaco Hotel Denver,” said Randy Elmore, General Manager of Kimpton Monaco Hotel Denver. “Jen has exceled in every position she has held with us, conveying her love for the Monaco and earning the admiration and respect from all managers and employees.”

After serving as lead hostess in Panzano Restaurant , Ramirez moved to the hotel side of operations in 2004 where she served as Housekeeping Supervisor. She steadily rose through the ranks with positions in Accounts Receivable, and as Director of Housekeeping, ultimately leading to her new role as Assistant General Manager.

“I am incredibly honored and excited for this new opportunity at Monaco Hotel Denver,” said Ramirez. “I have loved coming to work each day for the past 14 years and look forward to sharing my passion and experience with both the staff and our guests.”

During her 14 years with Kimpton Monaco Hotel Denver, Ramirez worked to make the hotel’s housekeeping department one of the top five within the Kimpton Hotels group, ranking top four in room cleanliness. She trained and managed a team of 30 housekeeping members, oversaw all invoicing and payroll, and developed a successful Honor Bar program to help increase revenue for the hotel. During this time, Ramirez also worked to complete an Associate’s Degree from Community College of Denver, graduating in 2011. In her new role, Ramirez will utilize her hospitality experience to increase guest satisfaction and revenue growth while cultivating a leading team.
