Laurus Corporation, a real estate investment and development firm, announced that the 285-room hotel, Vail Cascade Resort and Spa, will be rebranded and renamed.
The Former Vail Cascade Resort and Spa will reopen in early 2017 as Hotel Talisa, Vail. The name comes from the Native American word, which translates to beautiful water. The hotel honors the Southern Ute Indians, the Rocky Mountain’s original residents.
“The rebrand and repositioning of this hotel is not only necessary with the evolving demand from consumers, but also critical to staying ahead of luxury standards,” said John Garth, regional managing director at Hotel Talisa. “Hotel Talisa will join the most admired hotels in the world and will be a refreshing option for year-round visitors to the Vail Valley.”
Once it’s completed, the hotel will boast luxurious amenities and experiences. The design of the property is inspired by Vail Valley’s Swiss Alps roots and will offer a unique art collection, unique textiles, innovative lighting and spacious layouts.
Three culinary venues with three-course dining, a fireside bar and lounge and a café market will be available on the property. The resort will also have a kid’s club, called Talisa Tykes, which offers younger guests activities like pizza-making and scavenger hunts.
The resort will also feature a spa, a 58,000-square-foot athletic club, and more than 40,000-square-feet of meeting and event space for guests to utilize. With easy access to the Eagle County Airport, which connects to major cities like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, Talisa is a great place for visitors to stop, relax and rejuvenate.
