The Lexington New York City has recently undergone a $50 million renovation. The 725-room hotel, located in central Manhattan, has converted its S. Dynasty restaurant into a 5,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art meetings and events center. In addition, the hotel has two new meeting rooms—The Speakeasy and The Interlude—which are connected by the hotel’s Swing Room. These two room serve as the hotel’s main meeting rooms and have flexible furniture layouts that can accommodate up to 120 people. Both rooms have wireless technology, including retractable projectors and projection screens, ceiling speakers, wireless presentation capabilities, wired back-up connections and wall-mounted touch panels. The Swing Room is reserved as a pre-function space that offers beverage and buffet stations. A nook is adjacent to the Swing Room, allowing for impromptu meetings. For additional food options, the hotel has a selection of on-site dining options such as Raffles and Starbucks. The Lexington New York City is looking to blend modern technology with design dating back to the times of Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe.
