The full-day event is centered on industry education, networking and connecting individuals from all over the industry. New to this year’s program is the opening Flashpoint! Session emceed by keynote speaker Jason Hewlett, accompanied by Matt Tenney, Kelly McDonald and Neen James. Governor John Hickenlooper will also be in attendance as a guest speaker. Governor Hickenlooper will share his thoughts on how the hospitality industry affects Colorado and its evolving economy.

Sessions throughout the day will focus on “lie-awake” issues affecting meeting and event planners in the current hospitality industry, featuring esteemed speakers and experts. The day is punctuated by keynote speaker John O’Leary delivering the lunch keynote, “How to Ignite your Radically Inspired Life,” followed by more breakout sessions, and a networking reception to end the day.

“This is really the year to come, especially if you are a planner,” touted Ansley Seymour, Chair of the 2016 Conference & Trade Show. “Our Programs team has pooled an amazing talent of concurrent and keynote speakers on subjects that are extraordinarily pertinent to our industry and how it continues to evolve.”

The MIC of Colorado is a partnership of 13 meeting, event and hospitality member organizations, all of which are either state chapters of national associations or local, grassroots organizations. Leaders from each of these organizations collaborate to create one over-reaching event. All members of the affiliated organizations are invited to attend, as well as members of the general public.
