By Jakob Bermas

Planners! Not to miss is the Bucks County Event Venue Show where you’ll be sure to find the site for your next event. More than 35 social venues and event professionals will be there to represent their venues. The Bucks County Event Venue Show will take place on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Michener Art Museum.

“The passion, excitement and diversity of all of the offerings creates an unparalleled environment,” says Emily Cummins, Visit Bucks County public relations officer. “There is no other meetings and events market show like this in the region.”

Representatives from all walks of venues and caterers will be there, including Piccola Trattoria Catering, Courtyard Marriot Langhorne, Hotel Du Village, Peddler’s Village and Sand Castle Winery.

“Bucks County has many new additions to the meetings and events market this year,” says Cummins. “We are excited to welcome many new exhibitors this year including Stella by Jose Garces, the Riverhouse at Odette’s, Durham Springs Culinary Events Center, Triple Sun Spirits Co. and Nostalgia1720.”

Also new to this year’s venue show is some worthwhile incentives for all planners. Included are a complimentary gift, a LinkedIn headshot from Brooke Straiton Photography, and a chance to win a Bucks County getaway for two people.

Bucks County Wine Trail will provide red and white wine samples and Bucks County Ale Trail will provide guests with samples of ale beer, while Catering by Design will offer stationery hors d’Oeuvres.

The event takes place in the 2,500-square-foot Michener museum’s Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion, the spacious venue welcomes in the natural light of the day with its all-glass walls and a 4,500-square-foot outdoor courtyard space.

Planners who arrive early can take part in the VIP tour of the Michener Museum. They will be enticed by the world-class collection of Pennsylvania Impressionism and current exhibitions including The Color of the Moon, The Poetry of Sculpture, Harry Leith-Ross, The Studio Craft Tradition, Bucks County Landscape, Modernist and Contemporary Expressions.

“VIP tours include an in-depth focus on select exhibitions from museum docents on the history and impact of the artwork,” says Cummins.

The Michener Museum is in the heart of Doylestown’s Cultural District. Doylestown was recently awarded a “10 Best 2019 Small Town Cultural Scene” by USA Today. Castles on the Mercer Mile, unique specialty shops and more contributed to this recognition.

“From quaint bed and breakfasts, to large hotels, museums, castles, delicious restaurants, extension history, booming main streets, and extraordinary team building activities,” says Cummins. “Doylestown is an excellent location to host a retreat, corporate or social event.”

The Bucks County Event Venue Show will be a great way to build relationships and see the venues Bucks County has to offer.

“This event allows planners to meet face-to-face with Bucks County event and meeting venues and professional service providers to generate a meaningful relationship,” says Cummins. “It allows planners to see and experience first-hand what Bucks County all that Bucks County has offer to the meetings and events industry.”
