Music City 2017 to Celebrate Major Nashville Institution Anniversaries

By M+E Staff

Many significant Nashville, Tenn., institutions are celebrating anniversaries in 2017. These will be commemorated as part of Nashville’s Music City, a celebration of music’s popular and historic music venues, museums, festivals and more. These institutions include Ryman Auditorium, 125th; Nashville Songwriters Association International 50th; Nashville Symphony 70th season; and Historic RCA Studio B, 60th.

“Together they showcase the depth and breadth of Music City,” says Butch Spyridon, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, a company with a mission to maximize the convention and tourism industry to highlight Nashville as a premier destination.

The celebrations begin on Sept. 25, with the Country Music Association and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum presenting Forever Country Live. This concert will take place in the Walk of Fame Park in downtown Nashville. Performances include Charlie Worsham, Vince Gill, Kenny Sears and more. The 50th CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air on ABC on Nov. 2.
