By M+E Staff

The new Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot in Ocean City, Md., held its official ribbon cutting and opening ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Governor Larry Hogan and several other notable personalities, and signifies an exciting time for the prominent beach town.

“The Fairfield Inn & Suites offers visitors the perfect home base with access to all the wonderful attractions Ocean City has to offer,” says Alina Kellar, general manager. “Our goal is to provide our guests with the best service and allow them to create memorable moments here in Ocean City.”

The hotel is situated on the bay of Ocean City and offers stunning sunset views. Guests of the 108-room property will find plenty to do. The hotel is within walking distance of beaches, restaurants and entertainment venues like the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. The hotel features local character in its nautical décor and offers kitchenettes, flat-screen TVs, private balconies, complimentary breakfast, and an indoor pool and fitness center.

“The level of support for this project shows how Maryland’s “We’re open for Business” initiative is alive and working here on the eastern shore as well as throughout the state,” says Ben Seidel, president and chief executive of Real Hospitality Group. “This new property is a terrific addition to the already thriving community here in Ocean City. We are so pleased to contribute to this one-of-a-kind destination and are excited to provide visitors a place to stay while they experience everything the Maryland shoreline has to offer.”
