Olympia Hotel Management to Take Over The Williams Inn

By M+E Staff

Olympia Hotel Management has announced that they will take over the management of The Williams Inn in Williamstown, Mass. Owned by Williams College, the hotel is the newest client in Olympia Hotel Management’s growing portfolio of campus hospitality properties.

The hotel will have 64 rooms and will incorporate design elements of New England farms. The space is built of stone and wood and houses a restaurant and bar in a barn-like structure designed by Bill Rooney Studio, with Cambridge Seven Associates as the architects. A full service restaurant and a fitness center will be offered onsite, as well as 3,200 square feet of event space.

“We’re thrilled with our partnership with The Williams Inn and Williams College,” says Sara Masterson, vice president of hotel management of The Olympia Companies. “It is an honor to add this prestigious affiliation to our growing campus hospitality portfolio and we look forward to becoming part of the Williamstown community.”

The new Williams Inn joins other college-owned properties in Olympia Hotel Management’s portfolio including The Alfond Inn at Rollins (Rollins College), The Hotel at Oberlin (Oberlin College), the Inn at Swarthmore (Swarthmore College), and a new hotel under development at Colby College.

“We are excited to have a strong partner for this project,” says Fred Puddester, vice president for finance and administration and treasurer at Williams College. “Olympia will bring the new Inn to life and operate it as not only a hotel, but as a community space.”
