By M+E Staff

Omni Hotels & Resorts has appointed top leadership positions for the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta. Ramon Reyes will be the general manager and Jennifer Mayo will serve as director of sales and marketing.

Reyes will spearhead the opening of the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta and oversee all departments. Recently, he served as the general manager of the Omni Riverfront Hotel in New Orleans. He began his tenure at Omni Hotels & Resorts in 2008 as the director of rooms and operations for Omni Royal Orleans. He was responsible for overseeing 345 rooms and the front office, housekeeping and food and beverage departments.

Mayo brings 20 years of hospitality experience to her new position. Mayo joined Omni Hotels & Resorts in 1998 as a group sales manager for the Omni Ambassador East Hotel in Chicago. She was promoted to senior sales manager and served as acting director of sales before moving.

The Omni Hotel at Battery Atlanta will open in early 2018. The property will have 16 floors, 264 guest rooms, including 28 suites, and more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space, a pool, signature restaurant and a bar that overlooks a ballpark.

“I have known Ramon and Jennifer for many years, and there is not a better tandem in the industry to open and lead our new hotel,” says Andrew Casperson, vice president of operations, Omni Hotels & Resorts. “We are confident that their exceptional leadership skills combined with their dedication to the Omni brand will ensure many successful years at the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta.”
