Wtih Frisco named the “2018 Best Place to Live in America” by Money magazine, it’s no surprise that the PGA of America headquarters is relocating to the north Texas city. The PGA is planning a 600-acre, mixed-use development and is partnering with the Omni Stillwater Woods (OSW), a joint venture by Omni Hotels & Resorts with Stillwater Capital. In addition to two championship golf courses, a short course, practice areas and a clubhouse, the development will include Class AA office space, a 500-room Omni Resort and a 127,000-square-foot convention center. The golf courses are expected to open in the summer of 2022, and the hotel and convention center are expected to open within the following six months. The development will host the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in 2023 as well as two PGA Championships, two KPMG Women’s PGA Championships and a potential Ryder Cup.
