Denver’s Platt Park neighborhood is getting a new restaurant—Que Bueno Suerte! Restauranteur, Mission Yogurt, Inc. opened the place on Dec. 11, led by Chef Dana Rodriguez as a consulting chef alongside executive chef Vicente Sosa.
“Vinny and I are extremely excited for this project with the Tafoya family,” says Rodriguez. “It is a big restaurant, but Vinny has an amazing team in place in Ivan Ceballos, sous chef; Jenn Mena, general manager; and our floor team. This menu is representative of Vinny’s childhood, but with elements of modern Latin fusion, creating his own signature dishes.”
Que Bueno Suerte! marks the fifth endeavor by Mission Yogurt, Inc.
Located at 1518 South Pearl Street, the restaurant serves modern Mexican cuisine for dinner and late-night bites. They will add a brunch and lunch menu in the coming months. They also have a substantial tequila and mescal list and seasonal cocktails.
The menu includes a range of food including several shared plates, such as Tuetano de Res, roasted bone marrow, serrano-tomatillo jam, shaved red onion-cilantro salad and house-made tortillas. They also offer soups, salads, cold dishes, warm dishes and entrees such as barbacoa tacos.
“We’re so proud to present innovative menu selections from the next generation of Que Bueno! to Denver,” says Rod Tafoya, president of Mission Yogurt. “The neighborhood has become accustomed to great cuisine and service in a beautiful setting, and we’re looking forward to continuing that tradition.”
