Dubai announced plans to host the 2015 Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) Executive Summit, which will run Feb. 9-13, 2015. Dubai Business Events (DBE) also recently welcomed guests of the 2014 IMEX America for the key trade event. Here, the 2015 announcement was made as part of the emirate’s ongoing efforts to boost its business events industry through building strategic partnerships with global trading partners.
In 2004, Dubai hosted the first-ever SITE Executive Summit. This time around, the two-day summit will be hosted at Dubai’s iconic JW Marriot Marquis, known for being the world’s tallest hotel. The Dubai Business Events (DBE)- the Official Convention Bureau, the host of the Summit, is a division of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
“Dubai has excellent tourism infrastructure and an exciting calendar of year-round events that make it a must-experience city that is perfect for incentive travel,” said Steen Jakobsen, director of Dubai Business Events (DBE). “We are very happy to be hosting the SITE 2015 Summit not only because it will give our local and regional industry players an insight into the latest international trends but also because hosting the event complements our strategy of promoting Dubai by inviting key decision-makers to visit us and see what makes our offer so special,” he added.
The Summit will feature an educational forum with learning opportunities for Dubai-based and regional travel professionals, along with time to network and to meet the SITE Board of Directors. This event will also bring attention to Dubai as one of the world’s most dynamic destinations for incentive travel. Key decision-makers will have the opportunity to truly get to know the city through various planned activites.
