SKI Magazine’s resort survey has ranked Whistler Blackcomb the number one Overall Ski Resort in North America for the third year in a row. Their top scores were of the terrain variety and off-hill activities. They ranked number two in lodging and après and number three in lifts, dining and terrain parks.
“This is such great news for Whistler Blackcomb and for all of Whistler,” says Barrett Fisher, president and CEO, Tourism Whistler’s. “There is nothing quite like being recognized by an industry leader like SKI Magazine and their readers—our guests.”
SKI Magazine readers rank the top 50 North American ski resorts in 18 categories that review every part of a resort experience.
“Whistler would not be what it is today without these collaborative efforts,” says Fisher. “Awards like the SKI Magazine number one ranking recognize Whistler Blackcomb and celebrate Whistler as North America’s number one ski destination.”
When they announced the award this year, the magazine called Whistler Blackcomb the crown jewel of North American ski resorts due to the its appeal and variety of natural resources available to guests. Whistler Blackcomb is scheduled to open for the new winter season on Nov. 24.
