The Special Events Company of Raleigh, N.C., has earned a Trinity Award and was nominated for an Esprit Award based on its work with Teen Cancer America’s “North Carolina Cares” fundraiser.
The Trinity Awards Gala in June was hosted by the Raleigh-Durham Chapter of the International Live Events Association. TSEC was honored with Best Team Effort in the Budget $75,000-$150,000 category. Other honorees included Catering Works, Inc. and Party Reflections. TSEC was nominated in the same category for the ILEA Esprit Awards, and winners of that award will be announced in August at the ILEA Esprit Awards Dinner at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre in Canada.
The “North Carolina Cares” fundraiser that earned TSEC its nominations raised awareness and funds for Teen Cancer America. TCA is working toward a specialized cancer treatment facility for teens in North Carolina. The event hosted 250 guests and was TCA’s first major fundraiser in the area.
