Splacer Debuts In Los Angeles

By M+E Staff

Splacer, an online marketplace for event spaces, has expanded to the Los Angeles market. At its debut, the market had 140 listings available to book for meetings and events, including villas, lofts, museums, theaters and more.

“People think of Los Angeles as the entertainment capital of the world, but it also has an incredible art scene, beautiful architecture, and a vibrant tech industry,” says Adi Biran, co-founder, Splacer. “As architects, we were excited to start curating LA’s spaces to provide unique event experiences for our users, whether film or fashion producers, startups or private individuals looking for an uncommon venue.”

Splacer is for those looking to rent spaces short term. The platform allows users to list, find and book spaces. Some popular venues include breweries, art galleries, boxing gyms, and updated factories.

“Splacer was created to reimagine the use of urban space,” says Lihi Gerstner, CMO and co-founder. “If we’re willing to rent our beds—our most personal space—and our cars, then why not our living rooms, roof decks, kitchen tables or commercial spaces, so brands or individuals can utilize them for a meeting, party, work outing, photo shoot, birthday dinner or any other special event? That’s our goal: to leverage these spaces to create more sustainable and enjoyable ways of living in an urban community. All the more so in LA, where every space has a story. Now these stories are yours to step into.”

Splacer also has hubs in New York City, San Francisco and thousands of other cities. Splacer’s security team verifies each venue, and their customer service team assists with all stages of event planning.
