Hamilton’s Kitchen, the restaurant at The Alfond Inn at Rollins, has been recognized by the Orlando Sentinel and Wine Spectator. The luxury boutique hotel proudly accepts these awards as it prepares for the summer season with a new wine-by-the-glass system and fresh menu additions.
For the second year in a row, Hamilton’s Kitchen is honored with Reader’s Choice Best Hotel Restaurant from the 2019 Orlando Sentinel. Located in historic Winter Park, Florida, Chef Stephen Doyle’s Floridian flavors are a hit with the guests at Hamilton’s Kitchen. The summer menu features unique dishes such as Florida shrimp and grits and prosciutto crusted black grouper.
Recently named food and beverage manager, Wesley De Souza plans to use his experience in event planning and catering services to maintain Hamilton’s popular reputation.
Another notable member of the Hamilton’s Kitchen team, David Penninsi, guided the restaurant to receive its first Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2018. As an advanced sommelier with the Court of Sommeliers, Penninsi has more than 20 years in the wine industry. Though the eatery’s West Coast pinot noirs and cabernet sauvignons are highlighted, Hamilton’s Kitchen has a considerable wine list that brings together the old and the new.
To elevate Hamilton’s Kitchen’s award-winning wine selection, the hotel has installed Plum wine-by-the-glass dispensers in all 112 guest rooms as well as in the lounge. Theses appliances make it easy for guests to enjoy their wine with preservation technology and cloud software for tracking and billing.
