The First Tru by Hilton Set For Madison

By M+E Staff

Hilton Worldwide and North Central Group have partnered in a developmental deal to build Tru by Hilton brand hotel in Madison, Wisc. The 106-room, four-story hotel will be located next to two hotels managed by NCG.

“Today’s announcement marks an exciting chapter in the Tru by Hilton brand, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it,” says Jeff Lenz, president and chief development officer, NCG. “We’re eager to get started on bringing this innovative concept to life and new Hilton brand to the west side of Madison.”

The hotel will feature an open lobby with areas for lounging, working, eating and playing. Complimentary amenities include breakfast, coffee, tea, mobile check-in, a fitness center and more.

“Tru is a disruptive brand, as evidenced by its statement-making entrance to the midscale category and now the Madison market,” says Alexandra Jaritz, Global Head, Tru by Hilton. “We know the brand will have broad appeal to travelers who span generations but have a similar ‘zest for life’ mindset. At its core, Tru is value-engineered to provide guests with a contemporary, consistent and fresh experience in an affordable way, while at the same time being operationally efficient to our owners.”

Tru by Hilton offers a “Build-Your-Own” breakfast that allows guests to customize their meal with things like oatmeal and 30 sweet and savory options. The Command Center, a new take on the traditional front desk, features a 24/7 market for snacks and refreshments, single-serve wine and beer as well as healthy options for purchase.

Construction will begin in early 2017 with the completion slated for early 2018.
