The Gwen Appoints General Manager

The Gwen, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Chicago announced the appointment of Scott Stuckey to general manager. Stuckey brings more than 27 years hospitality industry experience to his new position.

He will be responsible for the 300-room hotel’s 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space, Circa restaurant and lounge, and the hotel’s outdoor terrace, Upstairs at the Gwen.

Stuckey’s previous position was the managing director of the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta; he helped the downtown hotel earn a number of honors, including the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s National Guest Relations Award and the Omni Hotel & Resorts for Sales Team of the Year in 2015.

Before his move to Georgia, Stuckey served three years as general manager of the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa in Pennsylvania. He led the hotel to win many accolades, including being named on of Travel + Leisure’s Top 500 Resorts in the World and one of USA Today’s Top 10 Best Historic Hotels.

Stuckey has been with Omni Hotels & Resorts for 12 years, following an eight-year stint with Marriott and an additional eight years with Stouffer Hotels and Renaissance Hotels & Resorts. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Stout.
