The Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek hired a new director of sales & marketing and a new director of rooms.
The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain hired Chris Cofelice as the director of sales & marketing and Mark Hughes as the director of rooms.
Cofelice comes from the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, where he worked as the director of sales and marketing. He also has hospitality experience from the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa, as well as the Beaver Creek Lodge.
Hughes is departing from the Sheraton Denver Downtown, where he was the director of housekeeping, to join the Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek. Hughes has also been the operations & housekeeping manager at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, and worked at the Westin Snowmass, the St. Regis Deer Valley and the W Hotel Silicon Valley.
“Chris and Mark are both passionate and positive leaders and we are thrilled to have them on our executive team,” said Kristen Pryor, general manager of the Westin Riverfront. “The timing is perfect as we gear up for another busy ski season here in the Vail Valley.”
The Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek, boasting a AAA Four Diamond rating, has 230 rooms and more than 7,500 square feet of banquet and meeting space that includes a 4,000 square foot ballroom. There is also a 2,000-square-foot outdoor banquet terrace with an additionnal lawn. Outside of the rooms and meeting space, there is an athletic club, an outdoor pool that is open year-round, three hot tubs and Maya — a trendy Mexican kitchen and tequila bar.
The Westin Riverfront will undergo a $3 million renovation starting this fall.
