The Waldorf Astoria Chicago recently announced the redesign and addition of 7,914 square feet of stunning meeting and event space on the hotel’s third floor. Included in the renovations are four new venues: Hawthorne, Alcott, and Thoreau meeting rooms, along with a Private Dining Room, ideal for small corporate gatherings and private dinners. The new meeting and event spaces compliment the pre-existing 4,448 square feet of meeting space on the hotel’s fifth floor.

“Waldorf Astoria Chicago is dedicated to providing its valued clients and guests with exceptional amenities and services and we are thrilled to offer more diverse options with our expanded meeting and event space,” said Marlene Poynder, general manager of Waldorf Astoria Chicago. “The transformation of our third floor allows our hotel to fulfill the changing needs of meeting planners in the most elegant way, offering an inspirational environment equipped with the latest technology.”

The three stylish meeting rooms, named after notable authors, carry on the literary influence, Parisian-style and 1920s design of the fifth floor event venues (Sinclair Ballroom, Hemingway Salon, Faulkner Salon, and the Fitzgerald Salon). Each of the new spaces, which range from 830-square feet to 962-square feet, feature elegant design touches, a calm, tonal color palette, luxe carpeting, high ceilings, and a column-free open layout.

The spaces accommodate conferences, classroom, hollow square, U-shape, theater, reception, and banquet style events, catering from 27 to 100 guests. The four spaces offer customizable audio-visual capabilities, wired and wireless Internet access, and 30 AMP power service, with windows in three of the four spaces overlooking the European-inspired courtyard.

No matter the occasion, the hotel culinary team, helmed by Chef Nicholas Marino, will personally cater to each client’s preferences with a memorable menu. Waldorf Astoria Chicago boasts an array of luxurious amenities, including 215 expansive guest rooms and suites with gorgeous interiors, elegant fireplaces, and pristine marble bathrooms, in addition to the award-winning Waldorf Astoria Spa & Health Club with an indoor pool, fitness center, and DreamDry salon.
