Peak Hospitality has announced the rebranding of Hotel Cascada, which will soon be known as Wyndham Hotel & Conference Center; the 11-acre property will also undergo a $5 million transformation.
“Since the hotel’s construction in 1972, the property has become one of Albuquerque’s most recognized landmarks even as it has gone through several identities and renovations,” says Theodore Barela, CEO, Peak Hospitality. “As New Mexico natives who have seen the transformations this hotel has gone through, we’re excited to see this property shine as the renovations progress to make it one of Albuquerque’s premier hotels and conference centers.”
The head-to-toe redesign will include the property’s 300 rooms, 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and an indoor water park with five pools. The lobby, fitness center and exterior will be updated.
There will be three parts to the property’s transformation. The beginning phase will work on banquet and dining areas, while later phases will include updates to the water park and property. The Peak Hospitality plans to pay homage to the property’s history and the families that worked to build the original property through the remodeling.
