Pastimes & Venues: For groups interested in exploring the great outdoors, check out the trails along Clear Creek Path and Chimney Gulch Trail. Attendees will enjoy kayaking down Clear Creek or a visit to Lookout Mountain. The Foothills Art Center includes many frequently changing exhibits and gathering space, and the American Mountaineering Museum is another one-ofa-kind option.
Hotels & Inns: Under new ownership and recently renovated, The Dove Inn exudes a quaint, Victorian feel while the brand new, 124-room Origin Red Rocks provides both convenience and style with a location only 10 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Table Mountain Inn is a popular meeting and event location because of the multitude of indoor and outdoor spaces, and The Golden Hotel overlooking the creek offers over 6,500 square feet to host groups.
Restaurants: Button recommends Abejas, known for its frequent menu changes and fresh ingredients, for something a bit fancier. Miners Saloon captures the history of the town and is the “go-to” location for happy hour. Bridgewater Grill is located at The Golden Hotel and has a large outdoor patio while Sherpa House has “great, authentic Himalayan food.”
Breweries: Golden is home to Coors Brewery, the largest single-site brewery in the world, but it’s also home to six craft breweries—most with beer gardens. Mountain Toad Brewing has frequent food trucks and an outdoor patio. Colorado Plus Cidery recently opened on the west side of downtown.
